About Us

- Who We Are

About the Mechanical Contractors Association of Connecticut

MCAC is a professional trade association representing union contractors who specialize in mechanical construction across Connecticut. Our members are signatories to the Plumbers and Pipefitters Local 777 bargaining agreement, and we work alongside them to support their businesses, protect their interests, and raise the standard of the mechanical contracting industry in Connecticut.

- Role In The Industry

Our Role in the Industry

MCAC sits at the center of the relationship between mechanical contractors and organized labor in Connecticut. We facilitate communication and cooperation between our contractor members and Local 777, making sure that industry standards are upheld and that disputes get resolved fairly.

Collective bargaining
support

Representing contractor interests at the table.

Labor-management
cooperation

Keeping a strong working relationship with Local 777.

Contract
implementation

Making sure agreements work in practice, on the job.

Legislative
advocacy

Tracking and acting on state legislation, for members.

Beyond labor relations, we're an advocacy organization.

Members don't have to monitor every state house update on their own because that's part of what membership provides.
